Arab journalists welcome PMOI delisting

Fas Peres Website (Morocco), 8 Oct 2012
The Arab Association of Journalist in Defense of Freedom of Speech welcomed the recent US State Department decision to delist the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran from the terrorist list, describing this decision as ‘part of the special legal, international and humanitarian rights of refugees, especially since the designation of the PMOI from the very beginning was the result of pressure and was a very cruel act against this organization, leading to catastrophic losses on the pretext of this being a terrorist organization.’
Therefore, we call on all media outlets to use their unbiased media tribune for them and assist them in achieving their rights, the association announced in a statement.
The Arab journalists also called on the Iraqi government to practice humanitarian behavior with refugees based on Iraq’s dignity.
